You can find information about the challenge here: http://randomlegacychallenge.blogspot.com/
I'm playing with the optional rules and I made a table of my own to decide Pets (since I own it).
I
also decided, just for fun, to make all traits randomly rolled and to
make the lifetime wish either the first to appear, or if given a choice,
rolled for between 1-6 (with 6 being an automatic re-roll). No, I don't
imagine this will make the career part any easier. XD
Pet Kind (Roll between 1-17)
1-2: Cats
3-4: Dogs
5-6: Horses
7-8: Cats and Dogs
9-10: Dogs and Horses
10-11: Cats and Horses
12-13: Cats, Dogs, and Horses
14-15: Lesser animals (i.e. Birds, reptiles, etc. You may choose which!)
16-17: None
Pet # (roll between 1 and 13)
1-2: 1
3-4: 2
5-6: 3
7-8: 4
9-10: 5
11-12: 6
12-13: 7
If
you have another rule in effect that would stop you from obtaining the
required number of pets (i.e. # of children, # in household) and don't
feel like downloading a mod, you may EITHER: Reroll the # of children or
# in household, reroll the # of pets, OR take the most pets you *can*
fit in.
If you roll a category requiring more than one
kind of pet, then roll 1 for number of pets, you must have one of EACH.
Otherwise, you may distribute the pets as you wish, as long as you have
at least one of each kind.
If you roll 12-13, then roll a 3-4, you may reroll either category. (Unless you *really* want and can afford six pets!)
Anyway. As far as what rolls I got . . . well, I think it's more fun to reveal that in blog. So you just have to wait. :) At the end of each week (or each update, whichever comes last), I'll update which rolls I've revealed on the appropriate generation page.
If you want to start reading from chapter 1, this link: Chapter One will take you there.
